#17 Stranded...

If I were to be stranded on an island and I had to bring three items with me, one of them would be books. Every book that has ever been published I'd like to have on this island with me. Because there wouldn't be any internet access, I'd rather be entertained by reading which is normally what I do in my spare time anyway.

The second thing that I would be taking with me would be bedding; blankets, pillows and such. Depending where the island is, it could get cold during the nights. I don't want to freeze, so blankets are very good to have. As for the pillows, I like comfort and why not be comfortable?

The third thing that I will take with me are endless supply of water jugs. You never know if the island has any fresh clean water, so having my own clean water with me will help me survive. You can't live without water.

Expertise #16

Something that I am good at and grown up with is baseball. I have played softball and baseball twelve years now and I have to say I am pretty good at it. The whole concept of the game is to hit a small ball, or a slightly bigger and softer one if playing softball, as far as you can and run around the three bases and try to get back to home base.

I love playing this sport. Before I got injured, I was my teams fastest runner, I played left field (played between third base and shortstop in the grass) first base and catcher. Every position has an important job to do, the main thing for the in field which consists of 1st, 2nd, 3rd, shortstop, catcher, and pitcher, is to stop the ball and protect your base.

For the outfield which consists of left, right and center field, is to stop the ball if it has gone past the baseman or if it has gone over their head and get it back into the infield as fast as you can, back up your other outfielders and watch out for the fences.

While up to bat you need to concentrate on the ball and where it is going to be thrown, I personally like the inside pitches, because I am left handed I can easily hit the ball to the left  side and am able to run to first easier than I would if I hit it to right. When you get your perfect pitch, you swing your bat in hoping it will connect with the ball and send it flying. If it doesn't then thats is a strike, it to knick it then it is a foul ball. You can get as many foul balls as you want, but you can only get three strikes then you're out!

My Dream Job...

So for my dream job, I'd love to be an Occupational Therapist. What an Occupational Therapist does is they help people across the lifespan participate in the things they want and need to do through the therapeutic use of everyday activities, such as walking, writing their name, brushing their teeth. Basically taking the baby steps to learn how to do everyday things again.

I want to work in this career because, well, I enjoy helping people. Occupational therapy helps children with disabilities to participate fully in school and social situations, it also helps people recovering from injury to regain skills, and providing supports for older adults experiencing physical and cognitive changes.

I want to be able to help them get back to having a normal life and to make sure that they live a happy a healthy one. Children with autism usually work with this and it has helped many kids in getting better, I want to be able to do that.

This is my dream job and it's one that I would be proud to be working in.Helping people is a daily thing for me. I help out in my community, with my church and with anyone who needs it. I think that this job would be one that I would work great in.

# 13 My Favorite...Movie!

One of my favorite movies right now is Rise Of The Guardians.

I find that this movie has a childlike sense in it, but is also able to draw in the more young adults and teens. The characters in the move, such as the Easter Bunny, Tooth Fairy, Santa Clause, Sandman, Jack Frost, and the Boogyman are all childhood icons that we have grown up with and have believed in at one point in our childhood. It's a nice childlike feeling when you watch this because you get that sense of being a kid again remembering all the fun stories you have heard about the characters and how excited you got when you would get to 'see' them.

This movie is one of my favorites. I love watching it, Jack frost is my favorite character. Why? Because his character relates to many teenagers in the world, ones thats are just trying to find themselves and wonder what they are meant to do in  the world. Like me. Also I think he is really cute, I have a small crush on him, I wish he was a real person sometimes! Anyway, this movie is wonderful, I enjoy watching it and getting to feel like a kid again remembering all the fun characters as a child.
